Hi Whitney. Thanks for commenting on my blog. I hope you got my email!

I've been thinking about things a lot lately so I really appreciate this post. I want to do more enjoying, relishing, and savoring.

Whitney,

Your post really resonated with me. It has been difficult for me to let go of my career, what defines me, and give myself permission to enjoy my son. Great post!

To Jessica --

I just love the word relish. It's just fun to say; thank you for weighing in; I so want for us to hear from each other.

To Stacey --

Your comment emphasizes something really important which is that becoming who we are can happen in very different sequences. For some women, many women, becoming who we are (as adults) begins with mothering and children and then expanding into dreaming and doing.

For others of us, we do a little dreaming and doing, and then expand into the mothering.

Different sequence, same net effect.

We become who we are.

My best,

Whitney

About this blog

  • When I took a sabbatical from Wall Street to pursue a different dream and help others live theirs, I learned that women in the U.S. may be placated, even pampered, but because we aren't dreaming, we are also desperate and depressed. Drawing on a variety of sources, ranging from academic studies to pop culture, dare to dream encourages us to dream. And then to act on our dreams.
