I attended the Power of Moms retreat in New Hampshire in part because I'm on the Advisory Board, and, in part, because my friend Margaret suggested a group of us go. I expected to enjoy myself. I didn't expect to be bowled over by the camaraderie I experienced with this group of thirty women, all of whom dream of being great mothers.
You can read more about the weekend from Sarah at Memories on Clover Lane and Catherine at Wild and Precious. An extra special treat for me: driving to and from the reteat with the tremendously bright and talented artist Leslie Graff.
Because society doesn't always value mothering, the dream of mothering requires, more than most dreams, that we dream together.

Next time I'd love to be there for the whole shabang. What a great retreat. I felt like I was in wonderful company even though there were so many there I was meeting for the first time. Very well done & worthwhile....and the location was gorgeous!
