I've never felt unappreciated in the work place, or elsewhere, but I know it exists. Great strides have been made.

I've felt as underappreciated as I will ALLOW myself to feel... But baby, we've come a long way!

In response to your question: availability.

To just about everything. The ability to communicate, the easier access to resources, snack foods, library books, the proverbial egg and cup of flour we used to borrow from the neighbor! My husband often longs to live life for a time in a by-gone era. Not me. I love where I'm at!

When I was a child, abuse and neglect wasn't really something that anyone did anything about. These days there is a greater awareness among all sectors (eg: school, church, public), and VASTLY improved resources available to succor victims, and deal with perpetrators, and I'm grateful for that.

About this blog

  • When I took a sabbatical from Wall Street to pursue a different dream and help others live theirs, I learned that women in the U.S. may be placated, even pampered, but because we aren't dreaming, we are also desperate and depressed. Drawing on a variety of sources, ranging from academic studies to pop culture, dare to dream encourages us to dream. And then to act on our dreams.
