Three Reasons Why You Must Guard Your Heart (Not sure why this is relevant, but it just feels like it is. Any connections you'd make?)

Michael Hyatt makes some wonderful observations about the heart in this article, but I disagree that it must be guarded.
Wyatt asserts that, "It [the heart] is the essence of who you are. It is your authentic self—the core of your being." If the heart is the essence of your true being, then it cannot be destroyed and as such, needs no guarding. In fact, I posit that keeping your heart open, exposed and vulnerable is exactly what is needed to succeed.
