Thanks for your thoughtful comment and for the reminder of how blessed we are to have options.

Happy new year!

Hi Whitney,

As the new year begins I just wanted to thanks you for your life-affirming writing that I have been reading over the last year. You may have seen the following poem that I used many times when I officiated at weddings in the past. It captures your dream theme.

What if you slept
And what if
In your sleep
You dreamed
And what if
In your dream
You went to heaven
And there plucked a strange and beautiful flower
And what if
When you awoke
You had that flower in you hand
Ah, what then?

Samuel Taylor Coleridge

All the best to you and your family for this new year

Warmest regards,

Cedric

Love the poem, Cedric. I agree that it captures Whitney's theme.

About this blog

  • When I took a sabbatical from Wall Street to pursue a different dream and help others live theirs, I learned that women in the U.S. may be placated, even pampered, but because we aren't dreaming, we are also desperate and depressed. Drawing on a variety of sources, ranging from academic studies to pop culture, dare to dream encourages us to dream. And then to act on our dreams.
